Default Zero-clearance Fireplace Chase

Are there any issues with having boxes and NM-B cables in the framing of a zero clearance fireplace chase? I am not aware of any reason why not.

Are they J boxes?...are they accessible?

Are the wires outside the required clearance of the pipe and fireplace?
