That was their original bus-bar design, prior to using aluminum. . .

Panel was disclosed as original to the home.

Home built in 1952.

Last Home Addition / Modification occurred in 1962.

Zinsco introduced AL bus bars in the 60's with copper bus bars prior to that. Prior to the copper bus bars, the "Magnatrip" breakers had a line-side and load-side conductor, or a screw-tap for the line side of the breaker - no bus bars.
