My father inlaw has had a 410 heat pump and condenser now for two years and I've worked on them two years in a row now. He'll soon be getting a new compressor for his condensing unit this year. Any one else seen any of these yet.

On Heat Pumps it is absolutely essential that the indoor coil, if on a furnace, or air handler with coil be replaced together as a matched system. Anything less reduces not only the said efficiency but can lead to compressor changeout problems. Line sets may also have to be changed as well as the required diameter may increase.

If only half of the system is replaced, incompatible oils could be a problem.
