Is it true that today's standard for residential furnaces is 78% AFUE, and in 2015 it goes to 80%?
And for boilers, current standard is 80%, and it goes up to 82 (gas) and 83 (oil)? And for mobile home furnaces, it is 75% currently, and it goes up to 80%? Last edited by bgromicko; 1/24/09 at 9:35 PM.. |

And does anyone know about the SDHV systems minimum efficiency rating?
Is it still 10 SEER, or were they regulated to increase in efficiency along with a/c units and heat pumps? Thank you. |
