I need an age chart for furnaces. I am having a hard time determining the age of units i am inspecting. The one I am having trouble with is... Well the only name I saw was Magic Chef, ser.#A27105CCB, Mod.#G76-100D2C2.5-5
Can someone help. The house was built in '83 and the condensing unit is RUUD. Thanks Billy, President, CORE Home Inspections, LLC "Committed to Excellence" Visit: www.corehomeinspections.com |

I agree with Jeannot
Serial numbers - all have one letter, five numbers, then three letters. Last three letters are date and place of manufacture, where first letter is month, middle letter is year, last letter is place. Year letters codes: A=1980 B=1981 C-1982 D=1983 etc. |
