Default Age of Compressor?

Model RCC60A2E
SER 0301136354

I realize its a 5 ton however was unsure of the date since the home was built in 1996. A 2003 or 2001 unit seems odd that the 1st compressor would be replaced after 5 or 7 yrs. I'm leaning towards this being the original.

Richard I see March of 2001 as the date of MFG and would be unusual but not totally unheard of for the unit to have been changed out, history is sometimes hard to determine without talking to the previous owner/owners.

Did the furnace date match the condensing unit date or was it a 1996 model?
