This attic furnace / air handler was hung from the rafters with chains, and had a hard piped gas line run to it. Seems to me there should be a CSST that would flex a little instead of the hard pipe. Any thoughts?
Depends on your jurisdiction. Hard-piping as you have pictured is very common in many jurisdictions. CA requires a flexible connector for most appliances within the residence.
The AHJ OK’d it, but I thought that since the chain-hung AH might move (unlikely, but still possible) a flexible connector should be used. Thanks for your reply Jeff.
