Question Boiler Help! American Tube

Cannot seem to find much info on this bad boy...

American Tube and Controls
Warwick, Rhode Island

T-196

this services a seven unit apartment building and has seen better days... uses approx 1900-2100 gallons per season... ouch!

Anyone have any info on it... age, history of company??

BTW that is the only tag I could find... I was unsure it was even the boiler vs. a plate for the coil/tube installed for domestic water...

Jeff,

That particular tag is for the tankless that is installed inside the Boiler.

You've got yourself an original Boiler there. I see these oldies every week. If there's no tag and no obvious defects, I simply annotate in the report...

The heating system was paced through it’s normal sequence of operating modes, with no obvious defects noted at time of inspection. However, due to systems age, it is clearly beyond it’s life expectancy, and replacement should be considered. Until then, I recommend annual maintenance from a licensed contractor.
