Default Cat 1 Furnace in attic

Ran into a house with a cat 1 furnace in the attic. The exhaust was properly vented.

The problem was that the attic was filled with blown in cellulose insulation and it was very friable. There was a vent for combustion air to enter, but it was full of this insulation.

I told them to run an intake air duct.

Ridge vents and soffit vents.

Opinions.

Good catch, no matter what, if there is a problem occuring it should be reported and details provided to prevent a sub from sidestepping the issue.

The cause for concern is demonstrated.

The need for further review and/or repair is justifiable.
