Default Condensate discharge

Can condensate from a roof top unit be discharged directly on roof or does it have to be piped to a roof drain or guttering? It's a roof top unit on top of a church.

I would recommend it be taken to a gutter, just for the reason of constant water. Fungus and staining will exist. extra wear and so on.

Yes, definitely the way to go.....I just didn't know if it was a code violation. The code book says you can't discharge to a street, alley or other areas so as to cause a nuisance

It does not define nuisance generally speaking as long as it is not in a area where foot traffic is a concern. Sure needs to be off of the roof
