condensate line into gutter?

I could not locate a reference prohibiting condensate lines from discharging into a gutter. This is primary and not auxillary. Gutters have screens. Water was draining into properly terminated downspout. Any comments?

That would depend on your interpretation of this section.

M1411.3 Condensate disposal. Condensate from all cooling coils or evaporators shall be conveyed from the drain pan outlet to an approved place of disposal. Condensate shall not discharge into a street, alley or other areas so as to cause a nuisance.

Thanks Jeff. I read the passage and felt it was too vague to make my own interpretation. Home was built in 1989 so who knows what was kosher here in hillbilly heaven back then.
