Crane heating unit age?

Any information on a: Crane Heating unit Serial # C-24419.. H4 is listed above the unit.

CRANE: Stopped making HVAC products in 1968. Furnace technology sold to Amana.

How old do you suspect the unit to be? I assume pre-1968 as the Serial # you listed doesn't match any Amana format I know of. Sorry, but I have no info on breaking the Crane S#.

If you go with the B-L-A-C-K-H-O-R-S-E format (old Amana), it would be 1974-1984-1994.

I think it it might be older than 1974 as the house was built in 1958 and the ducting appears to be the original.
