Default Direct Vent gas logs

Would you call out this vent as being installed too close to combustibles, it less than 12 inches to the mulch. Maybe it is the mulch that is too close to the vent.

Probably not. Heat rises and when you think about it, it's also closer to the siding than the mulch.

I agree. The next inspector will find that is covered with bushes & shrubs.

I believe direct vent terminations require 12" above the ground or highest anticipated snow level.
