How do you read Tempstar Models/Serials?

I've got a Tempstar electric furnace.
Model: EF16J2200A1
Serial: 971235635.

The house is 32 years old. Judging from the abandoned boiler across the basement, and condition of this thing, I'm guessing it's 10-15 yrs old.

Can anyone give me a fish? Or teach to to fish?

Can't find tempstar in list, probably manuf in dec 1997 or 12th week of 1997 ( ser# 9712)

Thanks Bruce. I'm in the same boat. I can't find anything on it, and am guessing 97 also. (But I really don't like to guess.)
