How long before you arrived
After I arrived.

RE Agent told site supervisor I needed everything turned on for the inspection, so he turned it all on! They, not I detected the leak.

Construction was still in progress and they were moving the gas supply for added HVAC equipment. Pipe fitter was out to lunch.

Actually, when I turned on the master whirlpool tub the fill spout almost hit the ceiling as well!

The point, never say never!

What is the likelyhood of this happening again!
"Hardly never"!

Now you know the rest of the story!

What would you guys do with what I saw on yesterday's inspection?

The wires in question ran across the front walk and yard to the next door neighbors meter.

Call the electric and gas company that their meter readers need to do more than read meters.

There are very few meter readers here anymore. They have been replaced by electronic meters or they simply estimate the month's usage, which, now that we know that they've been doing that, is causing an uproar here with many people.

Ours are read electronically over the power lines whereas we used to have to reade our own meters each month. They can even tell the second each house looses power. It is a nice change.
