dryer vent clearance

can't remember if it needs 1" or so clearance from insulation??

No clearance requirement from normal insulation, but I'd certainly keep it away from the kraft paper side of batts in interior walls...

I'm guessing that's running through the attic. The maximum length is 25 ft. Every 45 and 90 reduces it. There are also maximum height requirements set by the manufacturers.

yeah it was a dryer vent actually.


sure. the 25 foot rule is famous down here. 45 degree take off 2.5 feet and 90 degree take off 5 feet. the run was about 20 total so no booster fan needed.
