This furnace drip leg is in contact with the basement floor it is very rusty. It is not leaking yet. It appears the drip leg was extended to the floor to provide support for the gas line.

Buck, the drip leg should be accessible and removable if the need arises.

kind of defeats the purpose of a drip leg if You can't remove it....just a dangerous waste of fittings as pictured imho...
