Running a gas fired forced air furnace in temps above 65 degrees is ok, right? Only heat pumps can't be run.

correct, no problem running a gas furnace in the summer.
A heat pump should be checked in the aux or emerg heat mode also, even in the summer (the compressor stays off) |
