Geothermal - GFCI

I see very few Geothermal systems. While testing GFCI’s in the basement, I found that the thermostats went off throughout the house when I tripped the basement GFCI’s. Is there any reason to hook thermostats to a GFCI?

Does not matter if its geo or not the low voltage transformer via the furnace should be on a dedicated circuit and not a GFCI period Natta:(:frowning:

I don’t think I have ever seen this.
