Geothermal systems and homeowners insurance

Just found out that Progressive Insurance®, at this time, is not insuring homes that have geothermal heat systems installed. Reasoning: An unproven system that hasn't withstood the test of time, at least this is what I've concurred after endless research. There may be other companies as well, but this is the only major company that I currently know of. I've added information in my report library to include this info, you may want to as well - your clients should know.

That's what I thought! They've been around for quite a while and you'd think you would want to insure a more efficient & safer system.

wow, they have been around since the 40's. I guess 70 years isn't enough. Maybe next year.
