Help with Wiring

Hello I have a colmon furnace with central air. Ive included some pictures to help with my question:
Ok when this switch is set to "cool" the ac is running regardless of what thermostat is set to. When set to heat, the thermostat controls it.

My question being how would i wire the thermostat correctly to control the furnace/ac with the furnace swtich set to control. Could i use the thermostat and select heat/cool and would this fix the problem with the ac running nonstop?
