Default Honeywell UV Air Purifier

I inspected a house today using a Honeywell UV100E3007 UV Air Treatment Unit installed in the cold air return plenum of the furnace. I understand that these units can zap spores, but obviously they cannot filter particulate matter (dust, dander, hair etc).

There was no traditional mechanical filter installed in the furnace.

Is there any warranty concern associated with installing a disposable filter downstream of the UV filter?

IMO, there shouldn't be. You still need the particulate filter to take the bigger dust particles out of the airstream so they don't burn on heat exchangers, clog AC/HP coils, etc.
