I inspected a house today using a Honeywell UV100E3007 UV Air Treatment Unit installed in the cold air return plenum of the furnace. I understand that these units can zap spores, but obviously they cannot filter particulate matter (dust, dander, hair etc).
There was no traditional mechanical filter installed in the furnace. Is there any warranty concern associated with installing a disposable filter downstream of the UV filter? Joe Skrypka MBA CMI The Home Inspection Guy Inc. Hamilton, Ontario Canada Membership No. NACHI050062193 |
