Default Horizontal Furnace?

Is there an easy way to tell if a furnace is designed to be used horizontal. I ran into 2 this week where it was not stated on the data plate.

No answer in almost twelve hours? That's odd. Since I know I have quite a few stalkers, I'll post here and get the conversation going.

I've always read the installation manual, which lets me know. I even found a few that could be installed upside-down. My Client was quite aghast as we both read the installation manual because the installation really looked strange with all the writing upside down.

Is the stack on the side of the unit? And does the condensation line exit at 90 degrees from the stack?

If so, most likely OK, but as RR said read the manuel if you cant tell...
