Default Induced draft furnace vent bends

Ran into an induced draft furnace that has a 90 degree bend. Is that allowed? Thanks in advance

Hi Ron
The furnace manual will detail the diameter of pipe and allowable fittings. That 90 shouldn't be a problem.

The Rheem we recently install in my own home said in the instructions that you can not install a 90 degree elbo directly at the furnace connection end. The reducer needed to go on first.
