here is a pic from today's inspection. This is a insert that is installed in the family room and as you can see it buts out into the garage. I would think that some type of protection would be needed?

I would think You are right Gary....i can't imagine any unit this would be ok for ....for soo many reasons....I think i would start with ....check manufacturer's specs for clearances and move on to impact protection from vehicles....proximity to flamable vapors...I think there is probably more but tht is where i would start.....jim

Gary,
Obviously limited view of installation due to only one pic, but it seems absurd on the surface. Surely, this installation wasn't inspected and approved by anyone claiming to be qualified to render a judgement. |
