I have a side venting microwave range vent that exits out the back of the house right under the patio cover. Is this a clearance issue or does it not matter? Thanks

I don't find it to be an issue since it's a microwave vent.

This installation simply gives the people (under the patio cover) a chance to smell what's cooking inside the house.
