FYI--

NEW YORKER BOILER DATE OF MANUFACTURE INFO–

UNSCREW TOP JACKET COVER: THERE WILL BE A PLATE WELDED ONTO THE TOP OF THE BOILER WITH EITHER:

A “YB” (YEAR BUILT) NUMBER OR A SERIAL# STARTING WITH A 2 DIGIT YEAR

True Len. The top cover is usually only held on with two screws. Besides, what's wrong with exceeding the SOP now and then?
