Found this in a home yesterday. Unit was not operating (no gas).
It appears to be a condensation discharge. Is this installation acceptable? I have never seen it before.

Except for it not hooked up to any drain?!

That is a high efficency "condensing" furnace.

HELL NO.

I've seen some dumb installations over the years, but this and others I've seen lately on this site makes me wonder. I keep thinking (hoping) that some of the stuff I've been seeing is just in a bad dream, but you guys just keep it coming. I guess I've lived a sheltered H/I's life.
