Default Rigid duct straped to ceiling joists?

This is a residential installation in a Texas Wind Storm area.

Any problem with strapping the rigid duct to the ceiling joists?

What say ye?

That's the norm out here in the shakey state. Duct work is always supported from the rafters or trusses.

Thanks to all
Most common in these parts is suspended from the rafters and not in contact with the ceiling joists, just like flex.
