Rinnai Recalls Wall Furnaces Due to Carbon Monoxide Hazard WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed ![]() You can argue with intelligent people but to argue with a mush head is like trying to grab fog-Thomas Sowell Last edited by mlarson; 2/21/08 at 4:46 PM.. |

Michael, thanks for the post, I use Rinnai direct vent heaters in some of my additions and after reading this post I called a client which I installed one of these in his addition and it is on the list.
I can't tell you how impressed he was with me to follow up on this, the addition was built in June of 07 and thankfully we installed a carbon monoxide detector. I'm calling the hot line tomorrow to find out how I can handle this for them. Thanks again, a greenie is on the way. PS after all the BS on this board you have reminded me of why I am a member, started to loose sight of that. |

You're wecome.
It would be good to have a thread for just recall notices that may affect HIs. Anybody else agree? You can argue with intelligent people but to argue with a mush head is like trying to grab fog-Thomas Sowell |
