Rinnai Recalls Wall Furnaces Due to Carbon Monoxide Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in
cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using
recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed

Michael, thanks for the post, I use Rinnai direct vent heaters in some of my additions and after reading this post I called a client which I installed one of these in his addition and it is on the list.

I can't tell you how impressed he was with me to follow up on this, the addition was built in June of 07 and thankfully we installed a carbon monoxide detector. I'm calling the hot line tomorrow to find out how I can handle this for them.

Thanks again, a greenie is on the way.

PS after all the BS on this board you have reminded me of why I am a member, started to loose sight of that.
