Is this rust?

A 6 year old furnace. I was not sure if this was a small amount of rust. Would you be concerned?

I personally would not be too concerned; it looks more like mild corrosion (electrochemical oxidation).

Not about the mild rust but about the piece of what appears to be 120V 14/2 wire (power supply?) resting on a sharp metal edge (no box connector) in an appliance that has vibration from fans/motors.
