What should this tell you

When I first started the A/C unit there was no water on the floor in front of the A-coil. What is the obvious with out the water present.

You are right the pan was rusted out the poly tube is the discharge line from the sump pump installed in the plenum the black cord is the electrical supply for the pump. Guess they thought it would be cheaper to install a pump than replace the coil and pan. Another reason for Home Inspections.
