I inspected a Lennox G26 (2002), yesterday, with a combustion air blower full of water. The problem has existed long enough for a large amount of rust to have accumulated directly below the fan and you can hear the "splashing" and gurgling noises from the water as the fan operates.
Does anyone know a cause and a remedy? James H. The drain hose from the flue vent trap to the drain trap on the secondary heat exchanger restricts or plugs. In addition if the flue vent trap is hard black plastic they tend to leak at the seams. Recommend that they have the furnace inspected and if it passes get the upgrade drain vent kit.

Those drain traps should be cleaned on a regular basis as they get plugged up and cause similar problems and are overlooked by many service techs when doing annual maintenance.
