Default Water heater vent pipe...Question

The house was built in 1980, Over 50 senior community.
Water heater vent pipe look like is was asbestos in good condition.
Should it be mentioned ? Brand new water heater and the house
was in great condition.

It looks like transite pipe and often they develope cracks that can be hard to see. A recommended safety upgrade to a better vent system can be prudent as a precaution.

The use of asbestos to insulate pipes in residential structures was outlawed by the EPA in 1975.

The presence of ACM's should always be mentioned in the report. This is a Transite vent, which is an ACM (asbestos-containing material). I always recommend that these pipes be replaced with steel B-vents.
