Default fiberglass discoloration
Hey Guys!

I need your help. Do any of you know any reasons for a darkening of fiberglass insulation, other than age or mould? I'm doing an inspection tomorrow, and I want to be prepared with the right answers. This is in a 21 year old home, in an unfinished basement wall.

Air infiltration can discolor fibreglass insulation.

I completely agree! You will often see it in areas where brick pointing is in need of repair or around penetration points for wiring or piping that are not sealed properly.
