Default On Line Classes- Ancillary Services-Check it out!

WATER RESOURCES (3 HOURS -ONLINE)
ENERGY RESOURCES (3 HOURS -ONLINE)
ENVIRONMENTAL BASICS (3 HOURS -ONLINE)

THESE ARE APPROVED FOR REALTORS, SINCE NYS WILL NOT APPROVE ON-LINE EDUCATION FOR NYS LICENSED HOME INSPECTORS, HOWEVER THESE CLASSES ARE VIABLE FOR THOSE LOOKING TO LEARN MORE ABOVE THE INDUSTRY AND THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED FOR INTERNACHI MEMBERS VIA THE MERRELL INSTITUTE.

I can answer that.

There are no training or licensing requirements for performing a radon test or inspection in NY.

The rules apply to the actual labs. So, if you purchase your test items (cannisters, LS) from an ELAP certified lab and have them perform the readings, you're cool.

You will have to either keep records of the number of tests you ran and their zip codes, and results.... or pay your lab $25 to file for you.

If you choose to use e-perms or a continuous radon monitor, you have two choices: eithe become your own ELAP certified lab, or rent the equipment from an ELAP certified lab.

As to training, none is required.
