Has anyone gotten active in the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Energy Ratings Acreditation program? This is not the 5 star energy ratings. It seems that the IRS is allowing a $2000 per home tax credit for eligible contractors who construct a dwelling that is certified as "an energy efficient home under section 45L(c)(1)(A) and (B) of the Internal Revenue Code."
Anyone heard about this and/or doing these inspections? I did a quick search of the message board and couldn't find anything. The website for RESNET is http://www.natresnet.org/. They list a group of acredited training institutions I don't recognize. John |
