Default Sun Nuclear Radon Monitor

I've been using Radalink for my Radon testing. I like them a lot, however the continuous monthly fees are becoming a burden. I'm thinking that I'll be much better in the long run purchasing my own monitor.

Anyone have a good Sun Nuclear Radon monitor they are interested in unloading? Or do you know someone who does?

I have two Sun Nuclear #1027 monitors I would sell for 1/2 off new price. They both paid for themselves long ago. I am upgrading to Sun Nuclear #1029 monitors.

I currently have 3, 1027's right now. Thanks though. Half price is a good deal, even with sending them to Sun for calibration.

Mark,

Have you considered Radelec E-Perms? At the cost, I think they are unbeatable. And their service is second-to-none.

Nope. Got a web link so I can take a look at them? (Not in the market right now, but am interested in learning.) Never heard of them unless you mean "Radalink". If so, I used them for about 6 months when I first started testing. Good machines and program, but with their fees, I paid for my first Sun device in 3 months of rental savings.

$2600 just to get started? No offense, but I don't see the savings at all. I could buy 4 or 5 Sun Nuclear devices for that. With the Suns, you've got hourly averages that are reported as well. Thanks but I think I'll stick with what I've got. I appreciate it though !
