Termites / PTL Lumber

Mud tunneling present on a prior WDI (Termite) repair.

First time that I have found a Mud Tunnel and activity thru PTL Lumber.

I've heard of such things, but rare. The termites either go deep enough to avoid the chemicals, or they find a vein to move through it.

Not beating you up for the photos, I would have taken a few more. I've never actually seen it live.

Termites were in the Beam above.

Not sure if they followed the Nail Up or the Nail Down.

Either way WDI treatment was recommended (NPMA-33).


It was an interesting scenario.
