Default Two Pump motors

I did a pool yesterday that has two pump motors. One was for the filter the other supplies water to a opening inside the pool. Anyone know what the second pump's purpose is? Thanks..

Thank you Michael. I was thinking along those lines, but was not sure.

I've also seen pools with water geysers that shoot water in the air for the kids to play under.

Tab,

I have a Paddock self-cleaning pool with two pumps, one sucks from the skimmer, and the other sucks from the bottom while the pop-up jets are cleaning the sides and bottom.

This pump is supplied with filtered water out of the filter.
