They look like brass Shark Bite fittings which are made for Pex tubing.

I'd be more concerned that this is only a partial repipe. I see PB piping and PB fittings also being used, which indicates that there have been failures at some point.

The whole thing looks FUBAR to me. Lacking Pipe Supports, wrong pipe supports, and, like Jeff said looks like PB pipe as well.
Needs to be re done. |

Wow! Good post. Recent water damage insurance claim I know of. They went after plumber's insurance completed liability.
