Basement kitchen sink pump plugged into a GFCI. Outlet was viewable, but it would be very difficult to reset with the poor location behind the unit. Comments?

Should be moved to a more accessible location.

I don't think calling it out for relocation is warranted or even reasonable. If the buyers asked me to do that, I'd tell them it is working as designed, and if they wanted to move it for their convenience they could. |

I have looked at this picture a few times and It is hard for me to answer the questions as I can not see and do not know the exact situation.
Like Bobby said there are way to many glued fittings and this would indicate and amateur. Does this drain to sanitary or storm? Is it vented? I would question who installed it, is it allowed by the local jurisdiction. I attached a photo of a similar pump configuration. This one would be for a laundry. Bad idea due to lint clogging, but you said this was for a kitchen sink. The hole thing looks wrong to me. |

As long as it's vented properly and on a GFCI, I'm fine with it. Just because of the "Extra" fittings, doesn't make it an amateur install. When your trying to stuff a sump box like that under a sink in a 36" base cabinet you don't have many choices as far as getting your plumbing crammed in there.

If it's accessible, I wouldn't sweat it, even if it's not convenient. I imagine it's still easier than changing the headlight bulb in their car.
