Default Drain stopper repair

I come across this condition in condos where access beneath and behind the tub is not readily accessible. Is it possible to reconnect this type of stopper from above? (see photo)

Yes it is sort of. Nothing to reconnect. I have had that type personally.

Yes, nice graphic Mike. They can oftentimes be a PIA to get back in properly. Patience is usually required. A bit of vaseline definately helps on older fixtures. Just make sure to run some hot water to wash it through when done.
