"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Nothing really new here. As with most new products, it takes a while to learn the best installation practices. There have been recent "upgrades" in shielding and grounding of CSST to help reduce the potential for these types of issues.

Well said, Jeff. We as home inspectors are often the first ones to learn of these things / problems because we are exposed to new information coming in and daily experiences but the average citizen isn't and the NEW home inspector isn't as well. I have been hearing stories about CSST for years (have a bro in law in that biz). This post was more for the newbie than the vets. Something for those who don't know to file away.

In that regard, all information is good information, as long as it's not misinformation.
