Please Note:

I was inspecting a house , and it had a dishwasher with a vent to the exterior wall with a cap on it. the solid wood floor in front of the washer is cupped but no trace of water under machine or in the celing below ,are these related? Floors were redone 6 months ago.

Perhaps, but if you are not absolutely sure, just note your findings. I.E. wood floor cupped from previous water damage.....investigate further....
