Inspecting a Water Filtration System

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone wouldn’t mind sharing with me what they typically inspect for when inspecting a water filtration system, if indeed this is part of the typical home inspection. I’ve seen some sample inspection reports written up where they exclude expecting these systems. I know that some of these systems are actually a leased service where they come and replace tanks periodically. Just looking to learn what I can about this and what is typically inspected from a home inspector with regards to these systems.

Please advise,

Steve

Most are unmaintained and need to be trashed but all we can do is check for flow and look for leaks. I report the presence of these and try to notice if they have been bypassed.
