The reasons to keep learning are numerous.
One reason - Before producing the "water heater tank" training, I was not quite sure how a FVIR system on a tank works. After taking this course, any inspector will know.
Question: What maintenance does a FVIR system on a gas-fired tank require?

by the way, if you're googling "FVIR" right now, you need training...

SOP is a minimum. Absolute minimum.
Knowledge however should have no limits.

Learn, learn, learn...

So, what are the maintenance recommendations that home inspectors could provide their clients in relation to FVIR tanks?

again... if you're Googling "FVIR tanks," that may indicate a need for training.

I have learned that if you venture too far away from the SOP you are no longer doing Home Inspections......

2.6. Plumbing
I. The inspector shall:
C. inspect the water heating equipment,

And that's the objective of the training course. The course teaches the best visual-only inspection techniques to inspect the water heating equipment as required by the SOP.
