I was told that one is nedded every 2 feet. |

2 - 20 amp circuits. GFI. For countertop usually required for todays standards. Max distance 4 ft apart from each outlet , placed within 2 ft of counter top edges or breaks due to frig or oven or sink. Plus. Any countertop 12"+. Need outlet

According to our electrician, for your counter outlets, you need 2 separate 20 amp GFCI circuits since it is near the sink. But I still suggest that you contract a trained professional installer for yourKitchen Countertops.
