laundry tub discharge

Just got back from an inspection and noted that the laundry tub emptied into the sump pit and was then pumped into the yard, not into a dry well. I laundry discharge permited to be drained in this way.

Some municipalities allow gray water to be discharged to the exterior. Each municipality is different.
