Default New sealant?

Here we go again. Mr home owner in a hurry to sell, so lets use whats around the house to fix leak.

Great Stuff from Home Depot.

Gary, it is probably because Home Depot does not sell the tools for Bell & Spigot lead joints. ha. ha.

There is truly a need for "Great Stuff for Dummies".
I've seen it used for everything but it's intended purpose.

I once did a job to repair a leak in a copper line in which the homeowner could not get it to stop leaking though he had tried solder (without flux), PVC glue, electrical tape and who knows what else.
